our history

    Established 1952

    ERKA Turkey is a source of pride to our country as the first friction-materials manufacturer. We began production in Istanbul in 1952.

  • 02

    1953 – 1991

    During this period we created brake production as an integrated facility in the Istanbul Bayrampaşa Industrial Zone, using raw materials we produce ourselves.

  • 03

    1991 – 2018

    We moved from Istanbul to our 5,300m² factory in the Izmir Kemalpaşa Organized Industrial Zone, and increased our annual production capacity to 3,000 tons.

  • 04

    2018 – 2020

    We started manufacturing on new production lines in our newly built 15,000m² factory in Manisa Akhisar OSB.
